Orlando hotels are situated in various areas. Orlando has more hotel rooms than anywhere else on earth, from luxury to budget, so how do you choose the best place to stay? We'll make it easier for you. If you plan to spend most of your time in Disney World, stay in Disney Area Resorts. We prefer hotels located near rather than on Disney property. Disney's own hotels tend to be more expensive and more chaotic! After a long day in theme parks, being "not far" from them-rather than on them-is just right. Virtually all Disney area hotels have free shuttle buses to transport you to and from area theme parks. There are luxury, moderate, and budget choices, all within minutes of Disney World.

Sea world If exploring SeaWorld is your main reason for visiting Orlando, consider staying at Sea World Area Resorts. The proximity to SeaWorld will limit your transport time and increase your fun time. There are excellent hotels for any budget in the SeaWorld area.

Universal Area Resorts have mushroomed in recent years, and many offer, with the price of a room, special "Xpress" passes that let you avoid ride lines in both Universal Studios and in Islands of Adventure. Yes, they allow you to go right to the front of the line, saving you HOURS of waiting! That pass is a wonderful thing at any price, but getting it free with the room is an amazing deal.

International Drive International Drive hotels offer mainly moderate to budget accommodations. International Drive runs parallel to Interstate 4 beween Universal Studios and Disney World. In this bustling, energetic area you will find a truly international atmosphere with restaurants to meet any budget and souvenir shops galore. International Drive attracts tourists from across the globe. See the World's largest McDonalds, with french fries incorporated into the archietecture, and several fun atractions, such as Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum and the fabulous upside down Wonder Works.

Another option is to stay in City of Kissimmee hotels. Kissimmee (with an emphasis on "sim") in a town that borders or is very near Disney World, SeaWorld, and the Universal theme parks. This area has a busy, energetic atmosphere similar to that of International Drive, and offers a few moderate and mainly budget hotels. Though most Kissimmee hotels provide a complimentary continental breakfast (breads, sweet rolls, juice and coffee), few are full service hotels. But it's not to worry: family restaurants line the town's streets. And there is no need to rent a car, because guests enjoy free shuttle transportation.

If you are attending a convention, consider staying at one of the convention center hotels. Several are located just across the street or within blocks of the Orange County Convention Center. That will leave you less time commuting to the OCCC, and more time to enjoy the many attractions of Orlando! If you do stay in this area, don't rent a car. Finding a parking place is nightmarish and expensive, and the roads are congested 24/7.
